WHEEL MAINTENANCEThank you for your interest in our products
Most alloy wheels on the market feature either a painted surface, a machined lip/face with a clear coated finish, or a full chrome plated finish. To ensure optimum performance and appearance of your wheels, regular and correct maintenance is required. Brake dust is a very abrasive and corrosive substance which is detrimental to the wheels finish and should be washed off on a very regular basis. If not removed, it can actually burn small marks into the wheel, which in turn can lead to ‘pitting’ of the wheel. This can then lead to various other problems, especially in chrome plated or machined lip/face wheels as it can get underneath the chrome plating or clear coat and cause the wheel to rust and the finish may start lifting.
Damage caused by misuse, improper maintenance, or neglect is not covered under the factory warranty.
To take proper care of your wheels without damaging the protective finish, ensure that your wheels are washed with non-abrasive soap and water. Never use abrasive cleaners, steel wool pads, or polishing compound. Never wash your wheels while they are still hot, always wait for them to cool down to avoid discoloration and water marks.
